07 Sep Victoria Division Area Officer appointments
Welcome to VicOneTSA!
Under the leadership of Lt Cols Bruce and Debra Stevens, VicOneTSA is The Salvation Army Australia Victoria Division’s project to consolidate three existing divisions (Western Victoria, Central Victoria and Eastern Victoria) into one from 10 January 2018.
This is an exciting moment. It is an unprecedented opportunity to deliver an aligned vision, a united voice, increased innovation, stronger partnerships, better stewardship and greater impact for The Salvation Army here in Victoria and the broader nation.
Today we announce another milestone on the journey to unite The Salvation Army in Australia to achieve greater impact throughout the nation.
Through the consolidation of the three existing divisions in Victoria (Western Victoria, Central Victoria and Eastern Victoria), we are announcing the appointment of six Area Officer teams who will have significant leadership responsibilities in the new Victoria Divisional Structure. The Local Mission Delivery model, defined by the Australia One Program, is effective from 10 January 2018 and the Victoria Division will be segmented into six new areas: South West, South East, North West, North East, Metro West and Metro East.
The new Area Officers will be:
- Majors Bev and Paul Beeson, South West
- Majors Andrew and Kelly Walker, North West
- Majors Christine and Michael Wright, Metro West
- Majors Bram and Jean Cassidy, Metro East
- Lt Cols Ian and Viv Callander, North East
- Majors Gary and Julie Grant, South East.
The Victoria Divisional Headquarters will be based temporarily at 347-349 Mitcham Road, Mitcham from 10 January 2018, until a future permanent site is identified.
State Social Command Victoria (SSCV) will continue operating in the same operating framework since its inception in 2016. The SSCV will progressively transition into the Victoria Divisional structure in 2018, with the consolidation to be completed by 1 January 2019.
