Australia One – A Year in Review

This week’s update takes a look at the last 12 months of the Australia One Program with a year in review. Commencing in June 2016, with the appointment of our National Commander, Commissioner Floyd Tidd and Commissioner Tracey Tidd, National President of Women’s Ministries we began our journey of bringing the two territories of The Salvation Army in Australia together to form a single, united Australia Territory.

The last year has been foundational for The Salvation Army’s Australia One journey; identifying the right resources to support and guide us on this journey, and designing the framework and operating environment required to take us through to 1 January 2019. Whilst this is the date we are working towards, we acknowledge that some of the unification work will continue beyond this date.

Please follow the timeline as we walk you through the key milestones and achievements of our journey towards creating a national movement, and an Army of the future.

I love this timeline – Commissioner Tidd’s words at the beginning set the foundation for the journey ahead as the Australia One story unfolds. From there, the story is told succinctly and with impact. Great work!
